The National Association of Innovative Clusters (IKOSZ) is pleased and proud to congratulate its president, Dr. Ferenc Fedor, who is beginning his work as a member of the board of trustees of the Universitas Quinqueecclesiensis Foundation at the University of Pécs.

The new Board of Trustees of the University of Pécs will begin its work on September 1, 2026. Dr. Ferenc Fedor is a geological engineer and economist with a PhD and an MBA, who has gained significant experience in the fields of research and development, innovation, and business. He also has close ties to the academic community at the University of Pécs: he is currently a research fellow at the Faculty of Science and Technology and is involved in several research and innovation projects.

This new board membership is an important professional recognition, and at the same time, it presents an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation among higher education, research and development, innovation, and economic actors.

This goal is closely aligned with IKOSZ’s mission. One of our association’s most important tasks is to promote cooperation among clusters, develop the innovation ecosystem, and effectively connect knowledge, experience, and business relationships.

Regarding his appointment to the Board of Trustees, Dr. Ferenc Fedor emphasized the need to strengthen ties between the university and industry, as well as to make innovation and educational collaborations more effective. We are convinced that IKOSZ and domestic clusters can also be important partners for the University of Pécs in this area.
