GreenTech Zalaegerszeg: Focus on sustainable future and green innovations

On 23-24 May, the 5th GreenTech Zalaegerszeg Green Energy and Sustainability Exhibition and Conference took place at the ZalaZONE Automotive Test Track. The aim of the event was to promote the development of green technologies, showcase the latest innovations and foster sustainable partnerships. The event provided an excellent platform for experts, businesses and decision-makers to share experiences and discuss key issues of the circular economy, renewable energy and sustainable development.
The conference was opened by Energy Minister Csaba Lantos, who underlined Hungary’s commitment to energy sovereignty and green energy. Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy welcomed the participants by video message and stressed the importance of a sustainable economy. The programme focused on important topics such as electromobility, waste management and the future of energy efficient technologies.
The Archenerg Cluster was a speaker at the conference, presenting its achievements to date and its plans for the future. The cluster’s long-term strategy is closely linked to renewable energy and is committed to promoting green innovations and sustainable development not only in Hungary but also internationally. Prof. Dr. István Bíró, President of the Archenerg Cluster, stressed that the cluster is actively working to strengthen its partnerships and support initiatives that contribute to the wider uptake of clean energy.
On the second day of the conference, participants could learn about the latest developments in renewable energy generation and storage. Dr. Bernadett Petri, Ministerial Commissioner of the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development, spoke about the use of EU funds in sustainable projects, while experts discussed the role of artificial intelligence and the potential of secondary raw materials.
At the GreenTech exhibition, universities, companies and research institutes showcased their latest developments and visitors were able to get a first-hand look at the latest advances in sustainable technologies. The event clearly demonstrated that green innovation and long-term plans based on renewable energy are key to a sustainable future.
